In February 2000 I moved to London from Dublin. The intention was to get a job in the film industry as I had always wanted to be a writer / director.  Having previously studied Radio Broadcasting & Media production, sound  was the best route into the industry. I worked my way up through the department until I became a boom operator.  After 13 years in the sound department I decided it was time to pursue my dream of being a writer.  Working for the Civil Service for 5 years allowed me time to pay the bills and write.  Once I had a portfolio, I applied to The London Film School and got in. I am now officially an unemployed writer!
