Tom Mellors is a London-based screenwriter and playwright with an interest in stories with a strong political dimension. Tom read English & American Literature at the University of Warwick, where he also studied abroad at Tokyo University for one year. After graduating he pursued a career in publishing and freelance journalism. He worked as a news reporter for two years before enrolling with London Film School on the Screenwriting MA course. During the MA, Tom acted as an editor on several scripts written by the filmmaking students and regularly volunteered with the ‘Script Clinic’. Since leaving the school, Tom has written a short film he plans to direct in 2019, a short play and a pitch for a TV series.
