About
Since I was an embryo, I've always been fascinated by what lies just beyond the known. Whether that is a captivating personal mystery, life and death, deep space, deep sea or deep in the human mind, a huge part of my writing is speculating about what could reside within the unknown then attempting to capture not just the information but the feeling of that thought and give people that same sense of wonder with the finished product that I got when the first spark of the idea lit something up within me. I'm drawn to jaded, well meaning, pop culture savvy to the point of sadness know it alls that are often both the loudest and most sensitive people in the room. As far as protagonists go that is. I don't date myself. I'm a writer/ director from the North West of England and I was fortunate enough to study at LFS thanks to a full scholarship from The Leverhulme Trust. I hope I can pay that back in laughter, tears, scares and confusion in equal measure throughout my career. I truly believe that wonder is the most underrated aspect of great filmmaking in the world today. At the same time as being passionate about exploring Neurodiversity, class and the world as I see it on screen, I want everything I do to hold that same sense of wonder within it that made me want to do this in the first place.
