About
I was 5. Stuck at home during a downpour in Mumbai. The masterpiece I wrote was called ‘Timmy-Too the Tortoise’. I’m Stuti Nair, and that’s my ‘origin story’. As a screenwriter, my interests still lie in stories for and about children. My feature, THE SPACE BETWEEN, and short, KALEIDOSCOPE (currently touring the festival circuit), explore grave realities through the eyes of a child. Discussing serious issues in a whimsical manner is a style I carry forward from my time in advertising, where I wrote a few award winning and viral social films. My gameplan is to collaborate with filmmakers back home and in the UK, creating films that bring light to situations, just as much as they spotlight them.
