Jessica Lurel was born and raised in Paris, France. After obtaining her master's degree in law, she decided to enrol at the New York University - SCPS programme, in filmmaking. There she wrote, directed and edited a couple of shorts. This experience encouraged her to join the London Film School to enhance her skills. During her MA in filmmaking she had the opportunity to work on various films developing her skills as a cinematographer and as a writer/director.
