Nic is an American born filmmaker from the suburbs of Chicago. He was always interested in telling others stories from a young age and majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He worked newsroom shifts here covering both mundane local stories and a high profile student protest on the campus in 2015. He didn’t develop a passionate interest in telling a story cinematically until he was accepted into a film course at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where students had the opportunity to each make 5 short films within the course. He was inspired to continue learning from this experience and was determined to learn the craft of filmmaking in a masters program.
