Born in 1996 in Portugal, Rita Jorge has always been fascinated by storytelling and for the longest time thought she wanted to be a novelist. It was only when she started studying Arts in high school, and was challenged to direct her first short and write a radio play, that she discovered her passion for writing and creating pieces that could live outside the page. At 21, Rita graduated from the Lisbon Film School and her grad film, which she wrote, made into the Berlinale competition. After getting her Masters from the London Film School, Rita is currently working on directing her first film.
