Ben was born and raised in London. He studied English and Philosophy at the University of East Anglia and then Prose Writing at Manchester University under Martin Amis. He has published short fiction and journalism. He has taught English in Australia and Germany, including at the University of Freiburg. In 2018 he entered into the MA programme in Screenwriting at the London Film School, where in addition to studies he has co-written and script-edited on various projects, including as writer of the graduate film The Weight of The Land. At the time of graduation, he is working on a TV pilot script and is co-operating with a director on a feature concept.
