About
Tamara is an Australian-Egyptian writer-producer based in London. While studying Anthropology at Columbia University in New York, she also began working at indie label Warp Records and later EMI Music. Tamara gravitated towards music journalism, and as a freelancer, she interviewed Grammy winning and nominated artists including Disclosure, DJ Jazzy Jeff, composer Clint Mansell ('Black Swan') and Iggy Azalea. Being able to develop an expansive portrait of an artist as a person fed a love for storytelling, where she began writing scripts as a hobby. At the London Film School Tamara was awarded a Leverhulme Arts Scholarship, and here she also wrote and produced a short film, worked as a production manager and co-produced a music video for Junior Brother. Tamara is currently in pre-production for comedy web series 'In My Frida Kahlo Socks' that she created and wrote.
