Sunny Yu is a Taiwanese writer-director based in Taipei. She has a MA in Screenwriting from the London Film School. Since 2008, Sunny has worked in Taiwanese film and television production. In 2015, she wrote and directed her first feature film The Kids. The film was selected for competition at several major international festivals, and won the NETPAC Award at the Hawaii International Film Festival. In 2018, Sunny wrote and directed the short film 2923, which won the Housen Short Film Award at the Osaka Film Festival. Sunny is currently preparing her second feature film, Delight Delight, her thesis feature screenplay at the London Film School. The film was selected as a project for the 2019 Taipei Produire Au Sud.
