About
Alexander is a writer raised in London and by a balanced diet of movies, theatre, and television. His feature scripts grapple with issues of toxic masculinity and emotional disconnection, often skewed with a genre-specific bent, such as science fiction or crime. Irregardless of genre, at the heart of his stories is the uneasy balance between hopelessness and optimism. Alexander is also a keen poet and playwright, and his play Silo was longlisted in the 2015 National Theatre’s New Views Programme. Besides his graduation project, Alexander has recently completed scripts for a series of horror-themed shorts and a television pilot following an environmentalist cult. He enjoys long walks on the beach, alphabetising his books, and writing about himself in the third person.
