Zhanfei Song is a young Chinese filmmaker, currently living and working in Beijing. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), where he has developed an eclectic style through his practice of diverse video forms. His earlier works mainly aim to criticise traditional cultural values.

At London Film School, Zhanfei wrote and directed several short films including Jasmine, Aureole and Waterstones; He also worked as DoP and Editor on other works including Joans in Three Colours, The Frame, Akrobat, Curl etc. His works have been screened at numerous film festivals around Europe and Asia.
