Yining Di, who is known as Sayu, was born in a small city northeast of China in 1995. She showed an interest in filmmaking when she was young, and eventually graduated as a writer-director and producer from London Film School in 2022.
She took part in a lot of shoots and was involved in many different roles during her School period. Typhoon, her graduation film from London Film School, is also the first short film she has directed.

It's a story about a girl named Tian Nainai. She comes back to her hometown because her mom is sick. The bridge to her home is closed because of the typhoon, so that she gets more time to think about her life. She stuck in the situation if she should stay in her hometown and spend more time with her family. Then she meets her friend Gu Yue who grow up with her. Gu knows her situation by chance and tries to give her some suggestion.
