Yuanye Fang (Frank), was born and raised in Beijing. In 2018, he received his bachelor’s degree in University of Macau and specialised in Creative Media, where he found his passion in filmmaking. In 2016, Yuanye, as a cinematographer, created, Reach its Zenith, a documentary-like short film that reveals the status quo of the underground bands in Macao, and it won the Online Most Popular Award in the Macau International Film Festival, which started his career.

In 2017, he was awarded an exchange program at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Yuanye wrote, directed, and edited his first narrative short film, Leave Me Alone, which ignited his passion for film and planted his filmmaker dream. After that, Yuanye Fang has continued his career and craft in London, UK. At LFS, he viewed the world in a brand-new way through plenty of works and decided to work as a cinematographer by using his eyes to tell the stories.
