About
After graduating from an engineering school, Pierre-Alain Giraud worked two years as a Cultural Attaché in Iceland. Throughout that time, he co-wrote and acted for Icelandic plays. He enrolled in the London Film School in 2008 where he has directed three short experimental fictions and a documentary on Hackney, and worked as editor and director of photography. He directed animation videos (for Björk's producer Valgeir Sigurdsson and for the exhibition of Gabriela Fridriksdottir at the Schirn in Frankfurt in September 2011). His first feature documentary premiered in the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival in November 2011. He also did the music for an Icelandic play at the Icelandic National Theatre in Reykjavik and recorded three albums with Angil and the Hiddentracks. He is now developing his first feature film with the help of Darius Khondji.
