Damini has a double master’s degree, in English and Screenwriting. Whilst studying, she interned with one of the most prestigious newspapers in North India, the Tribune, where she contributed to the creative decisions of the paper and wrote articles and essays for them and have taken a short course at the New York Film Academy, to give her a better sense of the overall filmmaking process. Damini is currently working with a famed producer, Nina Lath Gupta, who has produced several off-beat, commercial successes, such as The Lunchbox and Manjhi- the Mountain Man.
