Being trained in cultural and media studies, Joy has always taken profound interest in human creations and lives around them. She wishes to explore lives through the lens whilst engaging with her contributors. That is to say she wishes not only being the observer of lives, but also documenting her participation with the people in her films in a truthful manner. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to share lives experience with these people. She is currently developing a series of documentary shorts on dreams and compromises following different people around Europe. It is her hope that telling people's stories could somehow touch the lives of more people.
