Daiqi Liu is a Chinese film director and screenwriter. As an undergraduate, he studied at Shanghai Theatre Academy, and started to write and direct short thrillers and dark dramas. His BA graduation work Taint, won the Mention of Best Acting at the 10th Shanghai Student Television Festival, received Honourable Mention at 2018 Macau International Micro-Movie Festival, and won the Second Prize at 2018 Cine Next Youth Film Festival, Shanghai. Picnic Area, a 15 minute romantic thriller, shot in 16mm, is his MA graduation film for London Film School.
