I was born in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. My primary education was the most uneventful time of my life. I passed my time in class by making sketches of lecturers. In school we were never encouraged by the teachers to read anything apart from the stale and tasteless textbooks. After finishing school I went to an art school. In our liberal arts workshops we were exposed to the films of Fellini, Kubrick, Kurosawa, Bergman, Wenders and Greenway. That was the first time I realised that films are made by people who make conscious decisions and that nothing happens by chance and now, for the last two and a half years I have been studying for a master's degree in filmmaking at The London Film School.
