Sophie Mander is a writer from Derbyshire, UK. She developed an interest in screenwriting while studying for her BA in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick. She comes from a background of writing short stories and plays, including a comedic play about Richard III which she also directed. She often writes about history and is fascinated by what makes different time periods unique whilst being connected by universal themes, such as the difficulties of parenthood. She also enjoys writing horror scripts and her interests in the genre vary from naturalistic psychological horror to more stylised films.
