About

Dovydas Drakšas is a Lithuanian writer and director, having recently completed his MA in Filmmaking at London Film School. He initially pursued an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge but found his true passion for cinema when he offhandedly stumbled upon a DVD collection of Michael Haneke works late one night in the library and started pursuing filmmaking ever since.

His main interests lie in human dramas exploring the troublesome relationship between human identity and various environmental factors such as location, society, and politics.

A 17-year-old Ada spends the school vacation helping her Father sell contraband cigarettes onthe streets. This unusual complicity enables Ada to spend more time and strengthen her bond with loving but aloof Father. However, as Ada gradually ventures into adulthood, Father struggles to acknowledge that his daughter has grown up, and their worlds start drifting apart.
