Chenlei Pan is a Chinese filmmaker and recent graduate of London Film School (MA Filmmaking). Chenlei Pan’s passion for filmmaking began at a young age, inspired by the works of acclaimed directors such as Yasujiro Ozu and Éric Rohmer.
Her primary areas of interest are production design and scriptwriting (her final year of study, during her BA, focused on a script project), both of which come together in her directing.
Always seeking to further develop her visual storytelling powers, she intends to continue to direct and incorporate what she learns working in the industry now she is leaving LFS.

Sketches On Her Skin
Fang, retirement-age mother and grandmother, prefers to stay busy continuing to work at a local school; when one day, on a whim, she signs up for work as a nude model for the art department. In studio she meets Kiki, a young student facing pressure from her family to marry, with whom she develops a surprising sense of kinship informed by their different experiences of attempting to navigate the same environment of familial judgement.
