About
Before LFS I read French and Film at UCL. Skipping to February of this year I took part in Making Waves; a week-long workshop about independent film distribution. Since, I have pretty much split my time between the Curzon Soho and Soda Pictures, an independent film distribution company. I also spent a large chunk of the summer on top of a 10-storey car park in Peckham, the setting for my final project on the relationship between cinema and cars, culminating in a 1970s existential road movie. I have also production coordinated a few short films: Benjamin Bee’s Step Right Up, Andrew Lowry’s Hellfire and some corporate films for Deckchair Productions. Of course I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that the highlight of this year was Cannes, more specifically collaborating with German cameramen from ARTE to get into the prestigious Studio Canal party in a chateau on the hill.
