Zhang Yan is a director from Beijing, China and a recent graduate of MA Filmmaking at London Film School. She comes from an undergraduate degree background in Film and Video Art at China Central Academy of Fine Arts and is passionate about finding stories in life and transferring it to the screen with her unique perspective, whether it be a film, documentary or musical.

Her primary interest is rooted in women and children’s stories, her film style is full of imagination, and she hopes to explore as many storytelling styles as possible and show audience creative screen experiences.
