Jing Zhao is a writer and director from Beijing, a recent graduate of MA Filmmaking at London Film School, and a current BAFTA connect member.

After studying psychology for years, she tends to use psychological theory to project her personal experiences, observations, and thoughts into her films, aiming to create authentic and complex female characters and explore their struggles in intimate relationships. Multicultural conflict is also a frequent theme of her film. Her recent films ‘Walls’ and ‘The Cut’ have been internationally screened at Nara International Film Festival, Vision du Reél, etc.
