Francis Chen

About

Francis Li Chen was born in China, and grew up in the city of Shenzhen. She studied at Griffith Film School in Brisbane, and holds a Bachelor Degree in Film & Screen Media. As a filmmaker she mainly works in directing, scriptwriting and editing. Her short film was presented at 65th Cannes Film Festival - Short Film Corner. While she loves cinema in the traditional sense, she is also keen on exploring film as a medium in contemporary culture. In making her experimentation, she incorporates curating as part of her artistic practice. MY TIANANMEN: the Polyphonic History is her graduate project for MA Film Curating with the London Consortium.
