About
Barbara is from Argentina. She studied at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba before moving to Paris in 2003 where she graduated in Film Studies at the Sorbonne. Her research focused on City Symphonies in 1920s vanguard European cinema. She is particularly interested in the question of spatiality in film curating and in interaction between cinema heritage and contemporary art. This has led her to take the first ever MA in Film Curating at the LFS in 2011. She has worked in several film festivals and film markets, such as Rotterdam, Manheim and Cannes and her first curated exhibition Ruins in Vanitas, Why Industrial Lanscapes Matter, took place in London in October 2011.
