About
Dinindu was born into a family of celebrated artists in Sri Lanka. He was introduced to the world of filmmaking as an actor in 2003. Dinindu won three major awards for his debut screen performance in Sakman Maluwa directed by Sumithra Peries - the first female film director in Sri Lanka. He went on to develop his performance work in TV and in just his fourth appearance in a lead role, he was nominated Best Actor in the National TV Awards Ceremony in 2006.
Although comfortable in front of the camera, his real passion had blossomed behind the camera. Identifying the need for his own development as a filmmaker, Dinindu embarked on a journey leaving his acting career behind to join LFS.
After finishing his MA at LFS he built the first calibrated colour grading suite in the country where he's finishing his first feature as a colourist.
