A DEEP BREATH (Une Profonde Inspiration), the third term documentary directed by Justin Spray won the Jury Prize at the Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous Marine in Marseille this weekend. Other LFS student crew include Stephanie Espinetti (Producer), Joachim Neef (Editor), Chao Liu (Camera Operator) and Adam Beason (Sound Recordist).
Using underwater filming equipment, the film follows a group of novices as they learn how to freedive. Justin Spray said:
"All the training took place in public swimming pools in London. We set out to find some beauty among the sticking plasters and clumps of hair at the bottom of the pool. Thankfully, it appears the Jury thought we did."
