Jessica Townsend's DOG BOY nominated for Best UK Short at East End Film Festival

DOG BOY, written and directed by Jessica Townsend, a participant on the LFS Hothouse programme, has been nominated for Best UK Short at the East End Film Festival. The short is derived from the feature project WILD DOG, which was developed through Hothouse.

Jessica Townsend was recently selected for the Edinburgh Film Festival  Network Scheme, the second edition of the development and mentoring programme for screenwriters, directors and producers, headed by Kate Leys.

An award winning playwright and short filmmaker, Jessica is developing her project SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEE through the scheme. Her mentor is Celine Haddad from Passion Pictures.  

She also has a feature film commission as a scriptwriter to develop the acclaimed novel BENEDICT’S BROTHER.
