SERIAL EYES is a programme developed in partnership between Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB) and The London Film School (LFS), funded by the EU's MEDIA programme.
Europe’s first postgraduate programme focused on serial drama writing and production, gives young television industry professionals the specialised expertise needed to thrive in the production environments responsible for “Mad Men” and “The Killing”.
Taught by showrunners and other respected industry professionals, programme participants will hone scriptwriting, production and marketing skills, analyze European national markets, and gain invaluable broadcast-industry contacts.
Classes will be taught in English in Berlin and the programme includes a visit to the industry MIPTV event in Cannes.
SERIAL EYES is aimed at young scriptwriters and producers with previous scriptwriting or television industry experience. Participants should have written or produced at least one drama, ideally transmitted on a TV channel in their own country, and must have the capacity to understand the needs and demands of TV audiences and TV businesses. Applicants should enter the programme with an idea for a dramatic TV serial; this will be further developed during the course of instruction.
