LFS Filmmaking graduates Liam Creighton, Danny de Warren and Geoff Bellhouse have all been shortlisted for Film London's Microwave production scheme. They are part of 12 filmmaking teams who will receive training at Microschool as well as mentorship and development funding for their low-budget feature films.
Their shortlisted projects are writer-director Liam Creighton and producer Danny de Warren’s Real Boy which tells the story of a transgender child growing up in a Reform Jewish family in North London, inspired by Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio. Director Geoff Bellhouse’s project, in collaboration with screenwriter Charlotte Wolf and producer Chris Hees, is White Night about a disillusioned composer suffering from a rare sleeping sickness who returns to his hometown London many years after running away as a teenager.
After the filmmaking teams complete Microschool, six projects will be taken forward for further development before two are ultimately commissioned in 2016 and awarded £100,000 in production funding.
