I’ve always been fascinated by what goes into making the TV and films we watch. Ever since I was a child watching Scooby Doo cartoons in Jamaica, I always wanted to learn about the magic behind the screen. So I guess from a young age the seed had been sown but it took immigrating to Britain for me to realise I might be able to do something with my fascination. That was in 2003, now with 2019 approaching and having gone through school, college, an undergrad and now Masters degree my curiosity has been satisfied. Now it’s been replaced by a hunger to create that same magic for the screens that have kept me captivated for much of my life. I’ve always believed in no risk no reward and that mantra has followed me in pursuing my dreams as a writer. If I hadn’t got out of my comfort zone for a while and taken a few risks I wouldn’t be here now eagerly awaiting the next step with a new kind of maturity, patience and insight I’d been lacking.
