About

Katie is a London-based screenwriter specialising in character-driven stories with strong autobiographical influences that combine social realism with psychological drama. Katie is drawn to ideas that tackle the subtle complexities and inner workings of the human psyche; themes involving that of childhood, family dynamics, female friendship, and identity. Before turning to screenwriting, Katie was a successful actress working in film and television. She graduated from William Esper Studio’s renowned Actors Program studying directly with Bill Esper who is considered to be the leading authority on the work and teachings of Sanford Meisner. As well as her feature script, Katie has written several short films and is currently in the early stages of her first project as writer-director.
