While pursuing a career as a filmmaker in London back in 2008, Jesus began working for film festivals predominantly as a programmer and producer. He has programmed Latin American films for a wide range of organisations and festivals, and he is also one of the producers of the London Spanish Film Festival. In late 2009 he founded Land In Focus, a non-profit multidisciplinary arts organisation with a main focus in film, being its Creative Director since then. They regularly produce country or region-specific events from underrepresented areas in UK film exhibition, revealing and promoting emerging talents from those countries, and offering international audiences a far greater insight into those regions than would usually be available.
