London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

London Film School (LFS) is proud to announce a significant presence at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), with student and alumni work represented across film selection, industry talent programmes, and special anniversary screenings.
Save The Date: LFS Graduate Showcase 23 - 27 Jan 2023
The London Film School Graduate Showcase is an annual celebration for graduates to share with friends, family and the wider LFS network. The event marks the achievement of the graduating class and all that they have accomplished. Graduates can proudly celebrate with their cohort, and with friends and family, to mark this key moment in their progression.

Audiovisual Talent Week is an opportunity for emerging talent in the screen industries to connect with professionals from throughout the sector. We’re delighted that not one but three graduates from LFS, from the MA International Film Business course have been accepted and will be going along. Taking place in Barcelona in late November, the event is organised by the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, and consists of workshops, conferences and networking sessions and a key central event where participants pitch their projects to industry experts.
OBITUARY FOR INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER RON PECK
We're saddened to hear of the passing of a hugely important, independent, filmmaker and LFS alumnus Ron Peck.
Peck set up Four Corners Films in Bethnal Green with fellow LFS filmmakers Mary Pat Leece, Joanna Davis and Wilfried Thust, Four Cornerrs Film still supports filmmakers from disadvantaged communities in the East End.
Neil Peplow appointed as new Director at London Film School
New School Director and CEO will take up appointment from 30th January 2023
London Film School (LFS) has appointed Neil Peplow as its new Director and CEO, taking over from Interim Director, Peter Holliday. The appointment was made by the LFS Board of Governors after a process that saw wide interest from a broad and highly talented field. Peplow, who is currently Director of International and Industry Affairs at the British Film Institute, will start in his new role leading LFS on 30th January 2023.
OCTOBER | STUDENT AND ALUMNI HIGHLIGHTS
The new term has gotten off to a busy start, as well as getting stuck straight into the new year we’ve also hosted the first of this term’s masterclasses. Production Design Helen Scott joined us to lead our Masterclass and talk through her career in British film and TV across productions including Small Axe, A Very English Scandal, and Fish Tank. We have also been lucky enough to be joined by Kahleen Crawford, Casting Director.
