London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

London Film School (LFS) is proud to announce a significant presence at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), with student and alumni work represented across film selection, industry talent programmes, and special anniversary screenings.
"The end product is 6 hours but to get there was years of work. You have to remember your life is the process, don’t chase the final destination so much."
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with screenwriting alumnus, Samuel Jefferson, who told us all about his journey from grad to co-creator and head writer of the award winning Apple TV Original series, Berlin ER. The series won Best Drama Series and Best Cinematography Fiction (Tim Kuhn and Jieun Yi) at the German Television Awards, and was nominated for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Directing Fiction and Best Editing Fiction – an incredible achievement!
JI HWAN PARK GRAD FILM "THE PICTURES" WINS BEST CAMERA AWARD
Ji Hwan Park C. 157/6 who graduated as cinematographer on the film "The Pictures" Written and Directed by Hyop Lee, has won Best Cameraman for the film at the 29th edition of International Cinematographers Film Festival "Manaki Brothers" 27th September to 4th October 2008.
MIRI SHAPIRO'S GRAD FILM WINS AT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S FILM FESTIVAL
Miri Shapiro's (C.156) graduation film "4 KILOMETERS" won the Jury Prize at the 5th International Women's Film Festival at Rehovot, Israel 15th- 21st September.
DAMIAN HARRIS & PAULA HUIDOBRO'S FEATURE "GARDENS OF THE NIGHT" WINS AT DEAUVILLE.
Damian Harris C.76 Writer/Researcher/Director and Paula Huidobro C.140 Cinematographer's feature film GARDENS OF THE NIGHT won the Critics Prize (Prix de la Critique Internationale) at the 34th Edition of the Festival du Cinema American at Deuville, France, 5-14th September.

"TRUE COLOURS" has got a life of its own...I truly can't believe it. It just picked up another Special Mention at a festival in Romania, ANONIMUL IFF. That's 8 awards on the circuit.
DAVID WHITEHEAD'S GRAD FILM WINS AWARD AT YOUNGCUTS FILM FESTIVAL, MONTREAL
David Whitehead's graduation film "Tomboy" (C.158/6) received the Mirror Award for Best Actress at the YoungCuts Film Festival 2008 in Montreal. The award was for Ellie Robbins in the role of Robin.
