We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that two of our distinguished alumni, Carla Simón and Oliver Hermanus, have been officially selected for this year’s Cannes Film Festival – a momentous achievement that highlights their extraordinary talent and the continued impact of London Film School on the world stage.
"HEYDAR, AN AFGHAN IN TEHRAN" NOMINATED FOR A BAFTA - BEST SHORT FILM
Congratulations and Celebrations go to Babak Jalali as his film "Heydar, An Afghan in Tehran" has been nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Short Film Category 2006.
HEYDAR, AN AFGHAN IN TEHRAN WINS BEST STUDENT FILM AT A NEW YORK FESTIVAL
"HEYDAR, AN AFGHAN IN TEHRAN" Graduation film written and directed by Babak Jalali (C. 149)won Best Student Film at the New York City Short Film Festival, November 2005. The film also got a Special Mention at the Cork Film Festival, Ireland - October 2005.
This film is doing really well as it has been accepted at 12 festivals and already screened at 9 of them.
"I AND THOU" WINS BEST EXPERIMENTAL FILM AT MIAMI FILM FESTIVAL
"I AND THOU" Written and directed by Federico Spoliansky (C.147), which was his graduation film, has just won Best Experimental Film at the Miami Short Film Festival, USA, 21-26 November.
Also, at the same festival, Daniel Silber's "HOUNDS" was one of the runners up for Best Short Movie.
"TEMPUS FUGIT" BY ENRIC FOLCH C. 110 HAS NOW WON 9 AWARDS
"TEMPUS FUGIT" Written and directed by Enric Folch, C.110 has now won all the following awards:
