London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

The Hero’s Journey or The Wanderer Dream: Tangled perspectives in Embrace of the Serpent
Tales of adventure and exploration in the jungle have long captured the Western imagination. Sailing down river from familiarity into mystery is a typical story which provides a perfect frame for the Hero’s Journey, a structure of myth popularised by Joseph Campbell in the 1940s. Described by him, the Hero’s Journey is a recurring story which follows a single narrative pattern:
