London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

London Film School (LFS) is proud to announce a significant presence at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), with student and alumni work represented across film selection, industry talent programmes, and special anniversary screenings.

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with screenwriting alumnus, Samuel Jefferson, who told us all about his journey from grad to co-creator and head writer of the award winning Apple TV Original series, Berlin ER. The series won Best Drama Series and Best Cinematography Fiction (Tim Kuhn and Jieun Yi) at the German Television Awards, and was nominated for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Directing Fiction and Best Editing Fiction – an incredible achievement!
LFS Grad Wins Two Awards at Aspen Shortsfest
We are delighted to announce that LFS Filmmaker Chun-Yi Li's graduation film "Sea Breeze" has won both the Best Student Film award, and the Best Crowdfunded Film Award at this year's Aspen Shortsfest.
Stutterer Picks Up Another Award at the IFTA
We are delighted to announce "Stutterer", written and directed by LFS MA Screenwriting alumnus Benjamin Cleary, has won an Irish Film & Television Academy Award for Best Short Film. The fantastic news comes after the film won the 88th Academy Award for Best Live Action Short earlier this year.
LFS Graduation Film AVO selected
AVO, Golnaz Jamsheed’s graduation film was shot in Iran. It is a short film that Golnaz wanted to make a few years before obtaining a full scholarship to attend LFS’ Masters in Filmmaking.
Nathan Deming's short at the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival
Congratulations to LFS alumnus Nathan Deming (MA Filmmaking). His short film CRAZY, shot in LA on a microbudget, will be screened at the 2016 Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival (mid-April) at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Synopsis: Sarah comes home to find her recent ex-, Philip, drunk and asleep on her balcony at 6:00 in the morning. They've got a lot to say to each other.
LFS Alumnus at the 2016 BAFTA TV Award Nominations
Congratulations to LFS alumnus David Rom, who worked as a Cinematographer on BAFTA -nominated show HUMANS. The nominations from the BAFTA Television Awards, which celebrate the best of British and International TV, were announced yesterday. HUMANS gained nominations in both the Best Drama Series and the Radio Times Audience Award, which is voted for by members of the public.
