Raphael Manuel’s grad Filipiñana won both the Best Film, International Competition and the George Lucas Grand Prix for Best of Show at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2021, becoming eligible for Academy Award Nomination.
In addition, the film was awarded the Best Short Film at Prague Shorts Film Festival. LFS Alumni also made a strong impression at this premier festival with Alvaro Gago (MAF 175) and Jacqueline Lentzou (MAF 173) both receiving special mentions for their recent work.
Transit (Dir Ariq Khan, DoP Eng Teck (ET) also screens at Oscar Qualifying 11th Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF), the largest short FF in India.
