We are delighted to announce Hamid Ahmadi's graduation film IN THE HILLS has won 2nd Prize at the 2016 Cannes Cinéfondation.
Synopsis:
In the short film, a young immigrant man, Shahram, takes a rather radical approach towards integrating with British society. We follow his daily routine, preparing food in a fish and chips shop, going to the gym, aimlessly roaming the Cotswolds.
As this unfolds, he browses a dating application for threesomes, seeking sex with British couples. His initial attempts are unsuccessful, until eventually a local couple come to his flat and they sleep together. Early the following morning, Shahram slips out of bed and goes downstairs to sleep on his sitting room floor.
