Graduation films of Aygul Bakanova and Clara Kraft Isono both shortlisted for One World Media Awards

Two 2011 MA Filmmaking graduation films have been have been shortlisted for the One World Media Drama Award. ACHELE directed by Clara Kraft Isono and THE SONG OF THE RAIN directed by Aygul Bakanova.

The shortlist for the 2012 Awards has now been announced.

This year marks 25 years since One World Media was founded, and the 24th year of our annual Awards. With the recent world news landscape, we have received an extraordinary range of entries covering stories and issues from around the globe. Thank you to all entrants to the 2012 Awards.
The One World Media Awards recognise the most outstanding media coverage of the developing world and the unique role of journalists and filmmakers in bridging the divide between different societies and raising awareness of vital development issues.
Work from all media platforms and across a wide range of genres is celebrated at our annual ceremony, the foremost international media awards event in the UK. This year, in recognition of changing times, we have introduced the News Award and the Sustainable Development Award, which will be presented alongside our long-standing categories such as Radio, Television, Press, Popular Features and Journalist of the Year.
The One World Media Awards will take place on Tuesday 8th May 2012 at Kings Place in London and tickets will go on sale in mid-March. The event will be presented by Jon Snow of Channel 4 News.
