A huge contratulations to Ali Khalil, who has been longlisted for the Film cateogry of the Sky Academy Arts Scholarship.
His proposed film project 'The People of Providence', about the residents of a London housing estate made with professional and non-professional actors, was announced as one of the thirteen Film Production projects chosen in this round.
A record 1,104 people applied for the Sky Academy Arts Scholarships, which offer £30,000 and mentoring to five talented artists. The longlist was hand-picked by industry assessors and Ambassador Iain Canning (Shame, The King’s Speech).
The shortlist will be announced soon and those chosen will be invited to present their projects to the judges, who will choose five overall winners: four artists from the UK and one artist living in Ireland, across all artistic categories.
