We’re proud to see further screenings for MA Filmmaking graduate Lara Zeidan’s grad film ‘Three Centimetres’ at the only LGBT Festival in Russia, Side By Side.
Whilst the film enjoys multiple screenings each week, this short film is off next to St Louis, Missouri, Estonia for PÖFF Shorts, interfilm Berlin, then Paris for Portraits de Jeunesse, QC International Pink Film Festival in the Philippines, Stockholm IFF and on Friday the second Nahemi selection at Aesthetica Short Film Festival!
Talking of Underwire FF (16-25 November), do go along as we have seven (!) LFS films screening this year and many nominations.
Official selections are grad film ‘Sol de Agosto’ (DoP Jackie Taboul, Dir. Franco Volpi), ‘Some Girls’, (Dir. Caitlyn Adamson), ‘The Eleventh’, (Dir Naomi Waring), term two film ‘Curl’ (Dir. Chih-Chieh Wu), grad films ‘Three Centimetres’ (Dir Lara Zeidan), ‘I Draw Inside A Sheep’ (Dir. Kaki Wong) and 'Three Days' (Dir. Echo Gong) and LFS alumna Fateme Ahmadi’s excitingly British Independent Film Awards shortlisted film ‘Bitter Sea’ is also getting much-deserved screening time.
LFS will be showcasing at two festivals this week: First at Cinemaforum in Warsaw - by invitation with co-operation of the British Council, where our Head of Sound, Wojciech and recent graduate Zhannat Alshanova will represent LFS during a Q&A after the screening.
Also, this week, LFS is showcasing at Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York, represented by Franco Volpi, Paisley Walsh and Piero Cioffi who will be discussing diversity, moderated by our Head of Studies, Femi Kolade.
