Exciting news for aspiring screenwriters at London Film School: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that LFS has been included as one of a selected few global screenwriting programmes whose students will be considered for the prestigious Nicholl Fellowships.
The Academy is working with leading international film schools and organisations to provide promising writers with direct access to the Nicholl Fellowships – one of the most renowned screenwriting competitions in the world. Past recipients of the fellowship have gone on to establish successful careers in Hollywood and beyond, making it a coveted opportunity for emerging talent. For students of LFS, this collaboration represents a significant step toward breaking into the industry.
Nicholl fellows receive support from the Academy and mentorship from an Academy member throughout their fellowship year. They also participate in a week of virtual seminars, a virtual meet and greet with the Nicholl Fellowships committee, and in-person networking events. Fellows additionally receive ongoing career advancement support through the Gold Alumni Programme, which provides continued access, opportunity, professional development and education for alumni of the Academy’s talent development programmes.
