Adam Dewar & Bernardo Nascimento's Award Winning Short Film NORTH ATLANTIC reaches semi-finals of SCOTT FREE's 'yourfilmfestival' on youtube
The short film NORTH ATLANTIC directed by Bernardo Nascimento and co-written by LFS Screenwriting graduate Adam Dewar has reached the semi finals of yourfilmfestival (http://www.youtube.com/user/yourfilmfestival) on youtube. The festival, backed by Ridley Scott's production company SCOTT FREE and Michael Fassbender, began with 15000 entries submitted online before eventually being edited down to just 50.
Throughout June and July, audiences around the world will vote, sending 10 deserving storytellers to open the 2012 Venice Film Festival where a Grand Prize Winner will be be rewarded with a $500,000 grant to create a new work, produced by Ridley Scott and his world class team.
NORTH ATLANTIC has already enjoyed success at several festivals. Premiering at the BFI London Film Festival it went on to win Audience Awards at the Milan and Warsaw International Film Festivals and Best Film Awards at the Savannah, Anchorage and Funchal Film Festivals.
