LFS GRADUATE LAWRIE DORAN WINS JOHN BRABOURNE AWARD

Many congratulations to MA Screenwriting grad Lawrie Doran for being one of 12 John Brabourne recipients! Previous recipients of the award include LFS MA Filmmaking graduates Koby Adom, Nathalie Pitters, and Sedhi Ghadiri.

Doran co-wrote the feature 'Speaking in Tongues' which premiered at the Austin Film Festival 2018. This indie film was directed by MA Filmmaking graduate Nathan Deming which is based on Deming's fifth term film exercise. 

From 2017, the Film & Television Charity now runs the awards twice a year with the next applications now open for the 2019 Awards. The John Brabourne Awards (JBAs) is a talent development programme that supports emerging talent in UK Film and TV with financial grants.
