Over the last month we’ve had the pleasure of a hugely successfully Cannes for LFS students and alumni. Read on to find out how brilliantly former and current students of LFS have done. As we kick start the final summer terms many of our students will be coming towards the end of their time with LFS but the work we see from those students is uncompromisingly brilliant showing their hard work and talent. Our alumni too, continue to achieve fantastic successes across the industry, working with each other and securing their place in the industry. New MA programme will begin with September 2024 intake

A new MA Documentary Filmmaking course will be available at London Film School (LFS), commencing in September 2024. The new course will open for applications from January 2024 and will be validated by the University of Exeter, expanding the range of MA degree programmes available at LFS to four. The introduction of MA Documentary Filmmaking at LFS marks the first new course at the School since 2012 and is the second MA degree course that is validated by Exeter.

We’ve come to the end of the first term of 2023 already and the year is flying by with a huge amount of work incredibly impressive achievements from our students and grads. Read on to see what’s been happening over the last month.

The Leverhulme Arts Scholarship has awarded LFS a grant to fund two places; one for our MA Filmmaking and one for our MA Screenwriting degrees, starting in September 2023. The deadline for applications to the Leverhulme Arts Scholarship is closing soon – 7^th April. 

Our new Factual Filmmaking for Beginners workshop will be taking place at LFS for the first time this Easter. We caught up with filmmaker and workshop leader, Tracey Gardiner to find out what the course was all about, what participants can expect and how they prepare. 

Tell us about your background in factual filmmaking and your connection to LFS?

The past few months have been incredibly busy here at LFS. The annual Graduate Showcase saw a huge number of grads, pitches, masterclasses, presentations and screenings but there’s been plenty of other activity too. Across students, staff, grads, and alumni, we’ve crammed two months of news here.
