London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

A delegation of filmmakers from London Film School has been invited to present at the Festival Max Ophüls Preis in Saarbrücken this month.
The festival, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, takes place from the 14 to 20 January and is Germany’s most important forum for up-and-coming German-speaking filmmakers.
A Dozen LFS Films to Screen at London Short Film Festival
LFS Governor Olivier Kaempfer also to take part in Q&A with Director of LSFF and BFI LFF shorts programme, Philip Ilson.
London Film School will be represented by no less than 12 screenings at the upcoming London Short Film Festival, which takes place from 11 – 20 January at independent cinemas and venues across London.
Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner, 'MATRIA', continues garnering praise
MA Filmmaking graduate, Gago, whose 'Matria' was shown at the Sundance festivals International Narrative Short Film special event on the 24th of January this year has been awarded the short film Grand Jury Prize.
